How switching works
Free system health check
An engineer visits, tests your fire alarm, intruder alarm and gates, and looks at your log book and certificates. It takes 30 to 60 minutes per site.
Honest findings
You get a written report. Every finding is graded Urgent, Recommended or Monitor, with photos as evidence. No scare tactics.
We run the switch
Our office handles your old provider. For monitored alarms, we move monitoring across to Fortline with no transfer fee.
Covered throughout
Still in a notice period? We cover your systems free during the overlap, so you're never without someone to call.
What we check
- Fire alarms: detector coverage, panel faults, batteries, zone plan and log book against BS 5839-1:2025.
- Intruder alarms: signalling, monitoring path, batteries and detector condition. With the analogue phone line switch-off coming, we check your alarm will still signal.
- Gates: safety edges, photocells and force settings against the DHF code of practice.
- Emergency lighting, extinguishers and other systems on site as part of the same visit.

Common questions
Is the system health check really free?
Yes. There's no charge and no obligation to switch. You keep the written findings either way.
I'm tied into a contract. Can I still switch?
Usually, yes. Check your notice period and we'll plan the switch around it. If there's an overlap, we cover you free so there's no gap.
Will you need to replace my equipment?
Not usually. We'll only recommend replacing something if the findings show it's needed, and nothing is fitted without your approval.
What happens to my alarm monitoring?
We move monitoring across to Fortline with no transfer fee, and test it once it's live.
