Home / Emergency callouts
Alarm going off? Call us now.
Fortline's emergency line is answered 24 hours a day for fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV, access control and electric gates across Newbury and everywhere within about 30 miles of Newbury, from Oxford to Winchester and Marlborough to Maidenhead.
Common emergency callouts
- Fire alarm sounding with no fire, often a faulty detector, a call point or dust in a smoke head.
- Fire panel showing a fault, such as a battery, mains or zone fault that needs fixing to keep the system working.
- Burglar alarm going off or won't set, disturbing neighbours or alerting the monitoring centre.
- Electric gate stuck open or shut, or not detecting obstacles safely.
- CCTV or door entry down where you rely on it for security.
While you wait
If there is any sign of fire, leave the building and call 999 first. If you know the alarm is false, our engineer can usually talk you through silencing it safely over the phone, but don't reset a fire alarm until the cause is known.
Want callouts included?
On Protect, one callout a year is included (two with three or more systems), usable in or out of hours.
